IPC Prompts: all carrying bins must use a secondary rigid container like the red transport box for safety. Ensure lids ‘click’ when applied. Date& sign on assembly & closure. Unlabelled bins=not collected! Keep U and your patients safe.

2.2 billion individual examination gloves are used by the NHS on an annual basis (nitrile, vinyl and latex) - that's just the NHS -it doesn't include the Independent or social care sector. If we use 2.2 billion gloves we have to dispose of 2.2 bn gloves - think about it
