It's impossible to recognize PRC and then recognize ROC, or vice versa. *Constitutionally*, both cover Mainland China *and* Taiwan. I.e. recognition of ROC implies dissolution of PRC, and vice versa. ROC IIRC still refuses to change its border to only Taiwan. Vise versa PRC. So.

Inequality exists in Germany - but not as pronounced. Roughly: There are federal, state & local taxes in Germany. State & local taxes are set locally. Part of federal taxes are used to help the poorer states, and is one of the stumbling blocks when fed budget is negotiated.

So when people don't get the treatment they need and die - for as long as there is sufficient delay between missed treatment and death - it's all OK? And ignore personal accounts of relatives who had to watch their family members die waiting months/years for necessary procedures?

I think there is some misunderstanding here. German is a federation. You "keep connection" by electing somebody to state's Landtag, which actually decides on most state stuff (including budget and taxes). One can even say that federal level is only secondary.

Note that this relates only to federal elections to Bundestag. Most political power (most notably the tax collection powers) in Germany is at the local level, in the 16 Landtags.

A lot of this indexes use stats compiled by nations themselves. Most stats provided by UK's ONS are averages, which hide inequality (e.g. GNI p cap). Plus, IMO UK's lack of property taxes skews role of land ownership in inequality.

I'm not really a big fan. But I like that J-Pop is sort of conservative. They don't "experiment" with formula. You know what to expect.
And music (I'm more attracted to music than text) is really really good. (Japanese Jazz and Rock are too very good).
