Black holes don’t emit light, but in June scientists spotted a flash from two colliding black holes. This collision occurred in the accretion disk of another supermassive black hole, sending the new black hole flying through the surrounding hot gas, making it flare.

A satellite in geosynchronous orbit moves around the planet, matching the rotation of the Earth. This rotation can be at any angle, while geostationary orbits synchronise with the planet’s orbit in line with the equator at all times.
