There are 3.6 million people in overcrowded housing due to the housing crisis but Southwark have told 5 of our families that they have deliberately caused their overcrowding & put them at the bottom of the list. How can this be justified?

Where has this new punitive policy come from? Why are our members being targeted? These families are all migrant families. Why are Southwark council introducing discriminatory policies into their housing register?

Hi, we offer support to all families in Southwark with housing needs, the scale of the national housing crisis means over 2,000 families come to us for that help every month, sadly that means we are not able to house them all but we do offer support & advice to everyone. 1/3

To make sure the homes we do have are allocated fairly every decision on the priority each household is given is made in line with our published housing allocations policy (which has not changed since 2013). The full policy is here: 2/3
