It’s been quite a long time coming but at last we reveal the look of the Nadiri Starhawk introduced in the Aftermath books. With the Onager, the design came first.

How much control over the starhawk’s look did you guys give FF? If you worked closely with them on it, who specifically do we have to thank for this awesome design? (Also, where’s the bridge?)

Lucasfilm had an existing design which we provided to

Interesting. When was this design made? Was it made for a project and then scrapped?

Not sure if this answers your question, but the Starhawk is first "seen" in Aftermath, one of the best new canon books

I think he means when the physical design was made... I think it was for the Battlefront II game.

Nope, it’s only mentioned in battlefront

Precisely, it might have been made, but not shown. But let's wait for Leland's answer.

A concrete desire to visually depict the Starhawk has been around since before the release of Aftermath: Empire's End. It really has been a long time coming to get to this point.

There is a chance to have some Legends content in the future for Armada, or there will be only new canon content ?

How was the Onager created? Was there a need for a new Imperial ship for The Rebel Files and the design then originated from the artist there and then expanded in FFG? Or did Lucasfilm provide concepts for The Rebel Files which was then expanded in FFG? Thank you

Rebel Files came first. FFG liked the design and it fulfilled a gameplay need.

I read every SW book and love when I get a visual of things mentioned in them, seams for me SW is not complete until I can see it.

The Onager is based on art for a ship referred to as a Siege Breaker from The Rebel Files.

Been a while since I read the aftermath series, now I’ll have to go back. This isn’t what I pictured when I read it!

That’s not the Starhawk that’s the imperial ship

Yes, the Tweet shows the Onager. The Starhawk can be viewed by clicking the link. The Starhawk is described in Aftermath: Empire's End as having a "blunt hatchet-front."
