We had a great conversation in Council today on some of the most progressive campaign finance reform measures in our city’s history. I'm very optimistic that the right action will be taken on these measures going forward.

Congrats to two great leaders + on being appointed co-chairs of 's task force on homelessness. I've worked closely with them both on this issue and their local-level expertise is what CA needs to develop an effective state-level plan.

The winds in this country blow from West to East and the White House could use a true and just Californian leader like Senator in there. She has been a fighter and advocate for those who need it most and I am proud to stand with her.

California’s bill is heading to the Assembly floor! This is another huge step for this grassroots movement and the communities that have been underbanked and overcharged for far too long. We’re standing up to the big bank status quo.

The Washington Arts Collective will replace 2 city-owned parking lots in with 56 units for homeless individuals + families, with a focus on artists in hardship. These are the kind of projects that bed by bed will solve our affordable housing crisis.

In 2018, Los Angeles built three times more housing than any other city in California. I'm proud of the example we're setting for the state and the nation to solve our housing crisis, but we've still got a long way to go.
