I can imagine because it happened to me. I was 15 when my dad died and he died alone. It’s traumatic and painful. I have never gotten over it.

Our Mom died from cancer when I was 13. We were by her bedside, and I held her hand while she died. I can’t imagine the pain of losing a loved one and not being next to them. Take seriously, , and save a life.

Giving students some choice over their learning builds intrinsic motivation, independence, and creativity. They can investigate real-world problems that interest them, research solutions, or build models or write reports that empower them.

I have a personal experience surrounding this very issue. I would appreciate you having more compassion and empathy for how others may be feeling about this. Everyone has their own story and I’m entitled to how I feel about it. I’m not sure why you are attacking me.

I understand. I’m just saying they need to lift this cruel restrictions and figure out a way to allow only immediate family members to say goodbye. Then put them in a high security lock down of some sort. They can sign a waiver.

It’s outrageous that family members cannot be with their loved ones. I’m sorry, but they would need to tackle me or jail me because I’m going in. Quarantine them for weeks. But this is traumatic and beyond cruel.

Because lawmakers create education policy that is not research based nor aligned with child development. That doesn’t make money for charter school/Koch donors. Instead, their laws create test prep factories where kids get scraps of yard-time and childhood becomes inconvenient.

As a recess mom who fought for recess in Florida, we made this exact point all of the time! As a matter of fact, we called our school board AND FL Senate out for having multiple recesses. Your son is SMART!

Except when there is a public health crisis. One does not need a building in order to worship. Many responsible churches are offering live services online. This is just common sense.
