The barriers women face are a problem, but an even bigger problem may be the lack of barriers faced by mediocre men. s.hbr.org/31ZTfT5

Someone once told me "To be a CEO you don't have to be willing to lay-off thousands of people the week before xmas. You have to *want* to do it." Most bosses kiss ass and backstab their way into power. They don't get there by being intelligent or good at business.

Men can bumblefuck their way upwards into positions of power just from people assuming they know what they’re doing like the CEO sex robot in Bojack Horseman

That's why the class system gave rise to the Empire and the Industrial Revolution - really good NCOs and foremen who couldn't get promoted (eventually to their level of incompetence - everybody has one) because they were born into the wrong class.

"Female managers are more likely to elicit respect & pride from their followers, communicate their vision effectively, empower & mentor subordinates, & approach problem-solving in a more flexible & creative way, as well as fairly reward direct reports." Just here for the facts!
