So happy to see such a variety of wildflowers at the Summerhouse in this beautiful weather. Only a few years ago, it was sad and dilapidated with no roof - lost in impenetrable undergrowth. Our ‘before’ photograph was taken in 2010 with ZDF TV filming clearing the undergrowth.

Congratulations to Simon Armitage on becoming Poet Laureate. Simon stayed at whilst walking the as a troubadour and writing ‘Walking Away’. An unforgettable evening of poetry by the fire, followed by a collection in his sock!

Walking around the gardens while they look wonderful in the spring sunshine - with rhododendrons and azaleas bursting into flower, followed by delicious treats in the Tea Rooms is the perfect way to enjoy the bank holiday! Opening times etc:

THANK YOU to everyone who came easteregging and bluebelling at ! We met lots of wonderful visitors, so many in fact, that we ran out of Easter Eggs - so huge apologies, it’s never happened before. We *promise* more eggs next year and slightly easier clues! 🌿💙🐣

Happy Easter! 🐥🐰🐣 The weather is absolutely glorious, so come and join the fun at ! There are Easter Egg Hunts today and tomorrow. Dogs are very welcome. Plus light lunches and cream teas are being served at the Tearooms. All details here:
