Design Leader solving problems since 1998. Opinions my own, so if theres bias it’ll occur here & not in my job. Im paid to think so your end-users don’t have to

The main question when conducting and analysing end-user research should be whether the findings are likely to be correct, not whether it would be important if it were true Real advances are built with bricks, not straw

Whenever presenting [End-User] Research, be certain you've built a house of bricks, and not a mansion of straw

One of the most American things is when Americans tell you something like “Im Irish...Im 3 parts Italian, 1 part Jew & Irish; on my great great grandmothers side” Hint: the rest of the world sees you as American - race denotes nish; its not where youre from, its where youre at

Tomorrow, the City of Miami will vote on whether to grant a 30-year contract on light poles that will have cameras, license plate readers and flood sensors. For free. The catch: Nothing would stop the contracting company from keeping all your data and selling it to others.

Anybody know of existing software or anyone working on a way of detecting deepfake videos? I recall once showcasing similar for photoshopped images

I get it Being a Design Manager better suits people who are generally bad a design. Because any DM whos good at design will get frustrated with poor design PS. theres also a big diff. between - strategic & exectutional DMs - managing design outputs & managing design teams

its so deeply ingrained it becomes an immutable fact to those old/experienced/woke enough to have enountered it enough times Note to self; this might make a great task for those UX types who want to solve the world

Too many bosses get that split so wrong - they say they want a ‘Head of..’ to lead multiple teams/projects whilst still being hands on Having been hovering around the Head level for 10 of my 21 years designing I can safely say - NO! Head of UX/Design/UI ≠ UX/Design Manager
