Last month I went to LA to learn to make a pair of Air Jordan 1's with . It was a lot more work than I expected, but so much fun. Vote for 'Air Recon by Dan R.` to get it professionally made by them

Feeling so spoiled: the Polaris design system tooling team is not just 3 developers working on "engineering" things. We also have a full time designer, a part time researcher, and a part time content strategist (bonus: she has a background in merchant and theme support!)

Every time I start Sketch I have to login to Sketch Cloud again. Do you know why this might be happening?

👍 Totally. I've also seen block fonts used in mocks that are super low fi. Almost a quick context test before any thought is done (pure ideation to convey a concept not grounded in reality), or to convey an idea without wanting buy-in, for the sake of quick experimentation.

I am in no way defending wireframing without real content, it's super important, but I've also seen block fonts used to obscure text in work with sensitive material (Eg, showing work in an interview) or like on where they used Flow to show abstracted code.

What if you could design a platformer right from & play it right away? 🤔 Made a script to generate a platformer (assets + multiple levels) in HTML5 Canvas in ~3h today, to make Figma more accessible for game dev. In + live soon! 🕹️ Assets by

I wonder if this stems from the days of designers primarily being graphic designers? At a point in your project, there was some handoff to an engineer, a sign maker, etc. To do their part.

Pixel perfection pushed the industry further when there were no standards for ‘how to design X’. Today we have pattern libraries, ui kits, standards, HiG’s, etc. I think this has something to do with the days of knowing the tool like photoshop made you a good/popular designer

We're using on a product we're making internally. And I'm also using it to help learn react. Anything that doesn't change or isn't dynamic should work without js enabled, but anything dynamic like changing state, etc. Would require JS enabled.

I'd love to be able to upload colours in the form of design tokens to keep my colours up to do. Any thoughts on that? Eg.

🤔 that’s unusual. I’ll give it a test this morning on a couple of devices to see if I can replicate the issue
