Taking you back to March 2018 and our camp to Karimnagar, India. This was our charity partners Team 1c, Liverpool, first sponsored camp - in honour of Tristan Campbell who sadly passed away on 30th Jan 2018, aged two and a half years. Since then Team1c have sponsored 8 camps.

Our camp at MP Shah Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya has drawn to a close. A total of 23 cardiac operations (key hole and open heart) were performed on children by our specialist medical team.

This Easter we share with you an inspiring story from our youngest fundraiser. Megan who is 9 yrs old has for the last 2 years held Christmas fundraisers at her primary school. This young girls efforts have raised an incredible £538.33! This is enough to save one child’s life❤️

Congratulations to our lead surgeon Dr Ram who received a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ in London on Saturday evening. He was awarded for his contribution and services to our charity as well as Paediatric Cardiac Surgery in the UK by the Telugu Association of London.

Our first camp to Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital in Dhaka, Bangladesh has drawn to a close. During the week 8 children received their life saving heart surgery and all are progressing well with their recovery. This camp was dedicated to Steve & Barbara Gibbs who are both pensioners.

Super happy to have a mended heart! This little girl is 6 years old and was our first patient to receive her heart surgery in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She had a VSD which is a hole between the two pumping chambers in her heart. Our medical team performed an operation to close the hole

Concluding our recent camp to India, our team successfully operated on 17 young children with CHD. The camp was sponsored by Team 1c and was in honour of Sonny; it has given much hope to the children and their families, it also marks our 100th camp in India.

When was operating on Kiwike who was found begging on the streets, he pointed out the presence of lots of black spots on her lungs. These are usually only seen in smokers. Dr Ram believes Kiwikes dark spots are due to air pollution from living on the streets

Kiwike is 14 years old. Three years ago this young girl was found begging on the streets in India. She was brought to our screening on Sunday by a teacher from the orphanage where she lives. Kiwike had her surgery on Monday to repair a hole in her heart and remove a blockage.
