This week is ! Black queer men have higher rates of suicide AND poor mental health AND have the lowest treatment rate of primary care. I talked about my therapy hoping to reduce stigma and motivate other black men to engage with talking treatments.

On week I want to remember my mother who was sectioned few days after my birth and struggled with a psychiatric system in the 60’s and 70’s which was oppressive and mysoginist. Peer support and better opportunities for women of my generation saved my life.
