I may be asking you about situation in ur country. You may also miss much about our production potential. The FMCGs here are almost totally Pak made with slight sectoral imports to cater to elite.

Importes aren't as much need-cum as they are the fucntion p/differntilas & cost-effectivity. To make it inter-diciplinary, mercury can be turned into gold by +/- a single atom. Good for lab, but not desirable for mass production due to cost & hazard. Same goes for imports.

Details aren't available at the moment. But I am afraid some unmet demand is bridged from abroad.

Defence production not my forte. But tea. Yes. Shankyari Tea Gardens are a sprawling, sophisticated Pak facility of the commodity. The tea is aroma, freshness incarnated.

A lot of $ is hoarded with money changers. They won't sell but buy and stash. This is bound to skew demand-supply curve. This has made $ virtually a commodity. It's in demand here. High in price. And this price differential is likely to work wonder. Yes. Smuggling from Afgn.

In most state-pacts with militans, one recurring issue would be the payment of withheld rents for the houses militants used as compounds or residences. The state would pay that. But the rent-settlement would always b thorny as the rates would b like 150 times more than market.

Imported consumer goods hv a bearing on $ exchange rate. However main suckers of $/foex are foereign debt, petroleum imports, machinery items, raws for edible oil etc. How we deal with these culprits will sharply improve inland $ avaibility leading to healthy PKR.

The xFATA people are rightly angry with the powers that be. But seen dispassionately, it were them who rented their houses to the non regional terrorists against huge sums. Additionally, the clear & hold phase was military's but development has to be undertaken by civil Bcy.

This is a new Naya in the history of MoFA Pak. A Foeriegn Minster announcing an envoy-reshuffle. But then its Naya Pakistan. Everything needs to be Naya no matter how naive it sounds or looks.

Political executive turns new every 5 years. PTI was first timer in KP, yes. But their basic mistake was undertaking a wholesale reshuffle & intervention in the Permanent Executive, the bureaucracy. This put things topsy turvy for the province, KP & PTI. Something MMA avoided.

Makeup & makeovers hv made a vermicelli of facial features indicative of geographical regions. Perhaps, facts like the Swat state attracted elite tourism under Wall sb, historical invasions, recent mass migrations etc. may be partly responsible for non-Swati features in the area.
