Another fine job by our Crisis Intervention Response Team. These Deputies & partners from respond 24/7 to persons in crisis, doing a tremendous job of diffusing the most volatile scenes, less than 1% end in arrest. Thanks to Klein Fire 32 for the assist.

Having lived a life of crime, drug use & arrests, it was during a stay in the Harris County jail 26 years ago that his life was changed. Dr. Boyd & his team are regulars in our jail offering this same hope to inmates. Being smart on crime can also include changing hearts.

On 10/25/19, a Domino’s 🍕 driver was robbed at gunpoint. Suspect was identified & a warrant was filed. Yesterday, Tactical Unit took the 20yr old into custody! He also had 3 other open warrants (evading & PCS). Good job guys, another criminal off the streets!

This we should not forget the hundreds of inmates in the Harris County jail who served this nation. The vast majority have drug addiction & mental health issues. Veterans programs remind them daily “It’s not where you start in life, but where you finish”

This week the unit removed graffiti in NW Harris County. By removing it, we are improving quality of life for neighborhoods & area businesses as graffiti often encourages crime. To report graffiti please email: GraffitiAbatement@sheriff.hctx.net

Great job Deputy Davis. With the holiday online shopping season upon us, thieves will be looking for more opportunities to steal our packages. Good move by the Texas legislature for increasing the penalty for this offense to a felony
