Yes, you're right. The 2nd ed. (1970-2005) contains some volumes in their 3rd edition & I got confused.

Yes, but it was published in 1970, and not updated, simply reprinted, so it is 47 years out of date.

1970 is the start; goes on until 1989. Still quite old, but maps, plates, double checking of refs., etc. NB "accessible" already 4 many yrs.

Because they're getting old, I would have hoped they sold them at a discount in recent years, but they remained prohibitive.

I'd be surprised if it weren't. is normally careful with such issues, & here it's not an accidental vol. but entire series.

Yes - legit. As pointed out, most vols. are quite old, so 2 b used w/ caution. NB also CAH History of Egypt post 600, vol. 1 only
