I feel like if you two just said "Yes, and No" back and forth for like 3 times, time would cease and Magic might stop firebombing us all...

I know it's a running joke how alike and sound on pods. I'm thinking maybe hard panning L/R might make it feel SLIGHTLY less like I'm listening to one dude's amazing conversation with the imaginary friend who lives in his brain...

College student who missed several lessons and was never prepared for them emails: can you raise my grade? Me, an intellectual: Do you think your performance in this class justifies a higher mark, or are you just asking for a favor?

: I love the Lakers. Also Magic: The Lakers are a disaster and I hated working there and everyone there is totally incompetent except for me. Also Also Magic: I talk to Jeanie all the time. She’s my sister. Also also also Magic: Jeanie doesn’t know what she’s doing

I think the show runners decisions to limit the scope, kill characters who are very much alive in the books, eliminate entire storylines that are pivotal in the books, and not know how to write or motivate these characters once they had no source is the crux of the problem.

Part of what made this season so unsatisfying, is what made seasons 6&7 equally awful is that the writing suffered when they had to do something original. This is not a unique phenomenon. Westworld s1: based on a movie Dexter s1: based on a book Etc.

Interesting. Did you read them before you started watching the show or the other way around? I think even if the books end up at exactly the same conclusion, it will be much more satisfying just from a writing perspective. Better pacing, and characters with actual motivation
