Mitchell O’Neill has been named in the NAB U/18 All-Australian side, is a wonderful achievement for a 17-year-old whose draft year isn’t until 2019. O’Neill was named in the interchange. The All-Australian side is an honour rather than a playing function. Congratulations!

GYC Netball Firsts were victorious over St Mary's College in the final of the SSATIS First Grade competition this afternoon. In a skillful and highly competitive game, GYC held the upper hand throughout. Congratulations to all players.

GYC also has students in the current U/17 and U/16 AFL championship teams. The U/17 Tasmanian AFL team plays Queensland in Melbourne this afternoon. The GYC players are WILL PEPPIN, TYLER MCGINNISS, OSCAR PAPROTNY, SAM GREEN. GEORGE O’NEILL is in the Tasmanian U/16 team.

GYC AFL U/18 Allies players MITCH O’NEILL and FRASER TURNER again featured prominently when the Allies were defeated by SA in Geelong on Friday. The next Allies game will be on Wednesday against Western Australia at Etihad Stadium.
