Education - the power to create choice. Yet, textbooks and curricula lack representation of Females. If we wish to create choice and confidence, we need girls to see themselves beyond cooking and cleaning, as is too often depicted in textbooks.

That feeling of guilt for women being at the forefront is ingrained into how our society, and even education, works. Girls are hardy represented in textbooks and curricula, creating this “guilt” and Imposter Syndrome when we’re older! It’s about time we change the narrative!!

“Of course technology perpetuates racism. It was designed that way.” – MIT Technology Review. Racial and gender biases rampant in tech - our tech grows exponentially, but is it progressing ethically (and actually helping humanity!).

Just published Advanced NLP frameworks, like BERT are in-tune with gender biases! This is not too technical, and is readable by anyone even if you're not in tech and AI. Its important for all of us to be aware of the biases in the tech we all use.

Racism & biases even exist rampantly in our tech. The MASK tool of BERT, by Google reflects several crude biases. Type nurse and it refers to it as “she”, type doctor its a “he”. Linguistic determinism is a reality! .
