You may be confusing with Irish video, talk available cover there so 1500 available = 3000 proper rest of the world total cover terminology, sorry for confusion

Intakes shouldn't exceed 6Mg/cow/day, at 300g fed that would supply double that, potentially toxic levels😬

Aim for 13 to 1400, if you aim for 1400 you'll graze 15 to 1600, research would suggest optimum energy intakes are achieved grazing 1300KgDM/Ha

Moisture and heat, time to be brave! If you get it wrong being too brave, it'll be back right again in two days but if too conservative you can roll high covers ahead for several daysπŸ‘πŸ’ͺ

The urease inhibitor will break down without moisture within a week but even good dews will be enough to dissolve urea

It's not the temp is the problem but lack of moisture, warm temp = quicker conversion urea to ammonia = low emissions when enough moisture

Early start for father's day, up at 3am to go for a run, meet wife and kids at Croghan summit for "sunrise". Love the drawing in the card, kids must just hear grass talk at home tooπŸ€”πŸ™„πŸ‘
