One of my growing convictions for 2019 is that "haters" of all kinds need to simply be ignored. If you give attention to negative behavior, you feed it and make it grow. I've always been a fan of across-the-board engagement, but I'm seeing that it's futile, and exhausting.

Steve has some folks in mind l. In all fairness, he should list them so we clearly have a visual of whom he's asking us to ignore.

Nope. This is purposefully generalized. I don't much care who people are, if I find myself constantly drawn into futile arguments with them, if they are insulting without provocation, etc., I don't have time for them. There are projects I want to work on. So much lost time.

Which is the point - and why I reduced my bookmarked Catholic sites down to three; why I tithe to particular projects, no longer to general appeals. Because, from the lookout on my front porch it's more or less all futile. I am an old man. There will be no revival in my lifetime.

I wish I could offer you hope, but I'm a terrible liar.
