I hadn’t heard - so sad. I was in the West End with him in ‘Don’t Dress’ - he was a generous performer and indeed a lovely man off stage. One of the best - and funniest. God bless Royce!

Politics can be a brutal business - people who dedicate their lives to it like deserve our thanks when their service comes to an end. Even when we deeply disagree on party politics, all politicians must try for a kinder more respectful debate. I wish her well.

When visiting to see the incredible work our Strike Command personnel do ⁦⁩, I was fortunate enough to have the pleasure of visiting Arthur (bomber) Harris’s office. A man my father knew. It is kept exactly as it was during WW2 - amazing!

Met with Steve Bushell and Steve Saxon at the Three Jays in Jaywick. We discussed the importance of pubs as a part of our British heritage - and communities. They tackle loneliness and build friendships. I call for reduced beer duty - Cheers!

Having picked up all kinds of rubbish from our wonderful Backwaters over the years I know how important it is to make plastic pollution a thing if the past. We need to legislate to phase out unneeded plastic and stop this tide! a great campaign!

I’m still on the case with ACE, and have been since becoming the MP for Clacton - I, like many fellow residents, am desperate to improve our GP services. It has been by far the largest part of my mail inbox. You can help by joining a patient panel - see the attached!

Met with Secretary of State Michael Gove today to promote proper labelling of meat. My amendment to the Agriculture Bill will inform consumers - how do you want your meat slaughtered; stunned or non stunned. The choice is yours! At the moment we have no idea.
