Minister for wildlife Therese Coffey defends Roundup tweet. "We would not allow them to be sold in this country if they were not safe." Paraquat continued to be sold in this country long after it was known to be unsafe. We still manufacture it for export.

When moorland mountain hares are down to their last 1% it's probably just about time for the Scottish government to regulate their culling.

This is our Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs - in light of recent legal ruling in US, it is fairly difficult to imagine a more irresponsible, inappropriate and insensitive comment. What do you think?

BANG , BANG you're dead ! If you're a Red Grouse today or were an Eagle or a Hen Harrier over the moors in the last year . If you read one thing on this inglorious day please read this account of the 'screamingly elitist' grouse shooting business , after all , you've paid for it

This obviously not true as no caring & environmentally responsible gov would let some rich landowners continually mismanage huge upland areas in breach of nat & int law & then rely on a 'voluntary' agreement to try and fix it! get this sorted

I am against the illegal persecution of uplands wildlife. The dark side of the Inglorious 12th must be stopped.

Very sad to hear of the death of Don Hunford at 93. He dedicated most of his life to learning more about badgers and doing all he could to protect them. He was one of the most outstanding wildlife protectors of his generation he will be sadly missed
