Total opposite of poker. After seeing this, I'll never enjoy playing from the button again.

It's not enough to be in the room where it happens. You need to have the right seat, too. has given this a lot of thought -- and there's room to debate it even further!

Fascinating! If the dropouts find durable employment, then it's a Wii -- albeit slightly odd. If students quit school to take a job and then don't last long because they are poorly trained, that's depressing.

Such books exist! Check out G. Pascal Zachary's biography of Vannevar Bush, who was America's No.1 technology planner, back in the day.

Oh, this will be great for her brand! She can join the unabashed champions of being "bad." Look at Michael Lewis (Liar's Poker) and Penelope Trask (The Brazen Careerist), just to name two. With a simple branding statement (like The Getaway Artist), the world is hers.

Caitlin Flanigan's take on the college-admissions scandal is the funniest, truest essay I've read in a long time. Love her allusion to "parental campaigns undertaken with the same level of whimsy with which the Japanese Navy bombed Pearl Harbor."

Excellent question. My social sample is small but more than zero. The folks who stay believe in the mission. They know it's hard, and they believe that Tesla, in spite of everything else, is the right place to get it done. Happy can wait for a different decade.

Trending on : What is the best company in the United States? (Actually, it isn't trending at all. But I just posted an answer with verve, and a bit of unwarranted hawking seemed right for Twitter.) Go ahead and give it a click. Thank you!

It's like the NFL draft. The real value is in the 2nd round. I'm sticking with Lizardy Dicent, Cash Gladfelter, Shendrik Apostel and Jonathan Chinchilla. Way underrated -- every one of them.

Probably with comparable results. Straddles that don't really straddle. Covered calls that aren't quite covered. At least with assemble-itself-furniture, mistakes only cost about $50 to $200. Badly constructed options trades can stick you with much bigger losses.

2/2: The IRS is doing the best it can with a tax code that gets ever harder to enforce, the longer it gets.

1/2 Thanks for the share. I've interviewed a few billionaires who barely pay taxes. Main takeaway: The actual language of complex tax rules can be surprisingly rubbery. What looks awful from a distance is just barely within bounds up close, as the semantics pros get to work.

Ran a survey in philosophy GE asking about student's background, what they want from the course, etc. Delighted by responses! Special mentions: student who got sucked into phil by The Good Place & student who wants argumentation skills to fight for soc justice
