How can you tell an "old" doctor? We're the ones who when all servers go down, we simply pull out paper forms, & tell the youngsters to send them to the geek dept. to scan later. (Oh, & of course I've never had paper "do down"--at home I have 140 yr old paper fam photos-perfect!)

Children age 3-5 who watch an hour or more of TV each day lose nearly 2.5 hours of needed sleep per week, reports. AAP recommends 10 to 13 hours (including naps) over each 24-hour period for best mental and physical health.

I've reached an age where most of the names in my "little black book" have "doctor" in front of them!

Hi Dr. Eric, good choice New Orleans! One of the most fun cities on earth! Bourbon Street where jazz was invented. Go do some gambling on the riverboats at the docks! Take a side-wheeler up the mighty Mississippi to Battle of New Orleans. EAT BREAD PUDDING WITH WHISKEY!

I've had lots of questions & statements, about what "please give me a student with " means; Examples: "How can I tell it," "I hope I have it," etc. First, if you're asking if you have it, I think you do. Second, an example: The 1891 "The Doctor" painting by Fildes.

We've all seen the charts on how since 1980, the number of US physicians has hardly gone up, while the number of admin. has gone up >2,000%. It's simple. That's when greed-driven insurance corps. took over American . It truly takes an army to delay and deny care to all.

The word "" comes from Latin, meaning to "suffer with." I can think back through a lifetime of my doctors, , etc. It's something I feel as a fellow human. Most docs had it, some were cold as ice. Almost all nurses had it. Opposite--Care not at all!

I know of NO ONE who tells of the plight of the practicing doctor in the US--and much of the world--like . He has more creativity, insight, humor, and courage than anyone else.

A big THANK YOU to all medical people around the world for whom English is not your first language, but are willing to in English. You make the world smaller, and help build bridges of understanding in every nation. Gracias, merci, grazie, danke, etc, etc.
