even Fox News sees it: “The president's job is to enforce federal law ... ordering obstruction to save himself from the consequences of his own behavior is unlawful, defenseless and condemnable.”

Barr has zero credibility. Some of us tried to give him the benefit of the doubt once he was nominated despite the pre-letter, but his 3/24 letter misrepresented the Report, his press conference was a closing argument as defense attorney for Trump. He needs to resign.

Finished a second read through the Mueller Report. I don’t say this lightly, as a life long Republican, former R Hill staffer, and someone who has worked on every R campaign and pre-transition team for the last ten years. There is enough here to begin impeachment proceedings.

The severity of this misconduct demands that elected officials in both parties set aside political considerations and do their constitutional duty. That means the House should initiate impeachment proceedings against the President of the United States.

Some parts of this are simple: The Mueller Report and James Comey’s testimony under oath both document Trump ordering illegal prosecution of political opponents. That is huge. Comey and Sessions resisted. If Trump gets away with it, what happens if there’s a next time?

Let’s remember *why* lying to the public is relevant: It falsely bolstered Trump’s pretextual reasons for firing Comey, ostensibly because of his performance. Sanders knew that wasn’t the real reason, and her lies were part and parcel of the cover up.

This is a striking footnote. It’s raising seriously the possibility of criminal liability when Trump leaves office. Amazing.
