My daughter just ran with the ball for 40 yards and scored. If only we knew where she got this talent from.

My son missed the third (of three) penalty kicks. He must have been inspired by Messi's WC miss! 😀

Daughter's team is winning in their semis 3-0 in the first half. [I should mention that both my son's and my daughter's tournaments are comprised of four teams each.]

Son's team was winning 2-0 in the semis with 4 mins left. Other team scores two goals and takes it in penalty kicks. Arrrrgh!

but it is silly to presume that all of my time and all of my efforts are to be given for free irrespective of context, venue, setting, etc. Why do you think speaking fees exist? Why do speakers bureaus exist? Cheers.

It depends on the type of venue. If one is delivering a lecture as part of his/her role as a scientist/professor at an academic venue, it is very different than if asked to speak at a for-profit venue that is charging attendees sizeable entrance fees. I do tons of pro bono stuff

I do call myself a Lebanese Jew. I use a different nomenclature depending on the context. If you don't understand the communication strategy, ask a friend to help you out.
