Can anyone find a clearer summary of the NI backstop dilemma than this provided by in his book ‘How to be right in a world gone wrong’?

Worth repeating: • The current iteration of the backstop came about at the UK’s insistence. • Its indefinite nature reflects the UK’s indefinite legal responsibility under the GFA. • If Brexiters truly had “alternative arrangements” ready, the backstop would never take effect.

We could go down with record low points and Wilder wouldn't be sacked. Built up so much good will, has achieved miracles already and has a squad capable of bouncing straight back. I'm not even sure the majority would call for it if we got 0 points. He's one of our own.

This has been obvious to anyone with a cursory grasp of the detail for, literally, years. And now, for ‘balance’, here’s Digby Jones or some other random, fact-free pudding to wang on about the German car industry or cheese or something...

3 things you should know about the free ports the UK can have now that the "EU can no longer stop it". 1. The EU has never stopped UK having free ports 2. The UK has had free ports while it was in the EU. 3. The UK decided to scrap free ports as they didnt really bring anything.

Happy Yorkshire Day to all - whether you're at home in God's own or somewhere vastly inferior. Like Lancashire. Or Derbyshire. Yorkshire Tea with Henderson's Relish chasers all round.

It's time.. In fact it's long overdue.. Get ready for a thread that may never actually end. It's really important we document every lie that Boris Johnson tells and put it in 1 easy to read Twitter thread to reference them to anyone not paying attention. 👇
