This is probably the most eye-opening bit of the GMB motion passed by Labour staff yesterday. Suggestion is that the party is actively hiring staff who dismiss the antisemitism allegations as a smear.

Re-upping this piece on no deal: "Remainers expecting the world to end in the event of no deal are setting the bar for failure too high. The UK will survive – but survival should not be the height of a country’s aspiration."

The Brexit Committee report on a no deal Brexit makes for grim reading. Bear in mind that it's a cross-party committee, and counts the likes of Jacob Rees-Mogg, Peter Bone, Christopher Chope and Andrea Jenkyns. It is *not* a Remain mouthpiece.

Leaving without a deal was also explicitly ruled out by the Vote Leave campaign which Boris Johnson headed. There is no democratic mandate for a crash out. None whatsoever.

Trump et al are vandals. They're destroying the Arctic Natl Wildlife Refuge not because we need the oil, but because they can.

Plenty of MPs have thought for months that the anti no-dealers were reluctant rebels at best & no match for the ERG. But the quiet Tories finally roared. A warning for the new PM as the race winds up and rhetoric gives way to reality

Exactly. We New Yorkers knew we did not want fracking & worked hard to prevent. But then what? Importing fracked gas from PA, as we do now, is not such a great idea. This led I & others to come up with our 2013 peer-reviewed plan for another way based on renewables.

It looks like New York State is going to lead the nation in exploiting offshore wind. This is a big big deal, and a crucial complement to the state's new climate plan

Well, that was excellent in a car crash sort of way. The EU has been clear, rational, and fair-minded through the entire Brexit process. We have put up an endless stream of chancers, spivs and dreamers in return. No wonder we're neck-deep in chaos.

Compare the words, tone, & spirit of any previous President with the undignified, divisive, & hate-filled invective spewed by Mr. Trump. Until so-called “Republicans” put nation above party & condemn his vile rants, this crisis will only get worse & more dangerous for all.
