GANYC had a great monthly meeting & fam tour at Luna Park NYC on historic Coney Island this evening! Thank you to all who came! Our guest speaker was Andy Sparberg, author of “From a Nickel to a Token”, about the NYC transit system from the 1940s through the 1960s.

Our next meeting is tomorrow, 6pm, at the Carousel on Coney Island! Our speaker for the evening will be Andrew J. Sparberg, a lifelong New Yorker who has been in the transportation field since 1974. He will give a presentation on NY's mass transit systems & have books for sale.

Please also call the Council Legislative Director Stephanie Miliano at 212-788-7053 and ask her to put the bill 289-A on the floor of City Council with the other two bills. Thank you! This is important for the safety and comfort our city's many visitors.

Please send another email to council member Ydanis Rodríguez (yrodriguez@council.nyc.gov). GANYC got word that they are going to present 2 double decker bills to the City Council (down from an initial 4) and 289-A may be left out, unless he does some swift work.

As many of you know, the GANYC Government Relations Committee has been working to push for City Council bill 289-A, which would require a tour guide on every double-decker tour bus in the city. But we need your help again!

Registration for the 2018 GANYC Job Fair & Talent Expo is now live! It is open to *ALL* licensed NYC sightseeing guides. As many as 40 tour operators & destination management companies are expected to exhibit.
