it might be worth checking whether your favourites shortcut is for that particular step. Normally when you return to a course, you should see the 'to-do' list view, along with the prompt for going to the last step you visited.

hi Crystal, have you been pressing the 'mark as complete' button on each step as you go? Or are you referring to the 'here’s the last step you visited' prompt on the to-do list?
