Dear Dope White Mums, This podcast episode is an emergency response to the state sanctioned murder of a black man. This is a heartfelt plea to white mothers everywhere. It is honest. It is angry. It is desperate. We need the next generation to do better. Dope Black Mums

The govt is suspending free travel for children in London as part of its bailout deal for Transport for London . Awful, especially when many families are in financial hardship from the COVID19 pandemic. Pl sign this petition supporting free travel.

'If we are only given one image of ourselves, it severely limits our aspirations as people.' We love this interview with the fantastic Look Up illustrator , who explains how he began to question the representation of black people in stories:

Beyond comprehensible. Please don’t play politics with people's lives. Black and other ethnic minorities are dying at disproportionate levels. Families desperately want to know how they can protect themselves and save lives.

It's SO important to support black authors, publishers & bookshops. We need more diversity-led publishing & it's vital they are supported during this crisis. If you can please donate to the Inclusive Indies fundraiser which ends this week.

I hope the family of George Floyd get the justice they deserve for his horrific murder. I can’t even imagine the pain they must be going though.

Why is rioting considered more obscene than the police killing black people - on film! - fearing neither arrest nor consequence?

If you call us thugs, you don’t have to call us children. If you call us thugs, you don’t have to call us angry. If you call us thugs, you don’t have to call us heartbroken. If you call us thugs, you don’t have to call us human. You also don’t have to call yourselves complicit.
