If Angus Deayton hadn't got sacked from 'Have I Got News For You' Boris Johnson would never have presented the show which made him super famous & helped build the profile that led to him becoming London Mayor & probable PM. Angus Deayton is the reason for all this.

'The Matrix' is 20 years old somehow & it still stands up now. So, yeah, there we go. Guess it's back to regularly scheduled Twitter timelines of nauseating rolling moaning & ill-thought through reactions to idiots looking for reactions to make themselves rich.

Music sticks out, too. It felt like almost every action movie after it tried to do something that originated in 'The Matrix'. Plus, the ending's amazing & surely this is one of the best one-on-one fight scenes ever?

The other-worldly, strange green tinge to every shot. The then unique slo-mo, moving camera fight scenes. The perfect casting (villainous Hugo Weaving, Fishburne, Moss & Reeves). The awesome blend of CGI & realistic sets. And a story that felt mind-bending in '99.

Ppl love Keanu Reeves right now. It's somehow 20 years since 'The Matrix', a film that might now be slightly underrated for how brilliant & original it really was. Still remember sitting in the cinema watching it & being amazed at how unique it felt.

All they had to do at the Tory debate was play Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Everywhere’. Whoever didn’t dance almost immediately could have been written off as a wrong’un. WHY DOES THAT SONG NEVER GET OLD. I LOVE IT.

Considering our every day is affected by charlatans like Theranos' Elizabeth Holmes, people like Stanford's Phyllis Gardner give you hope. God-level stuff here.

I am looking again Boris’s novel 72 Virgins (that’s the title not the readership). Sex between two characters is described as the man “do[ing] that wonderful thing to her again”.

Djalminha - outrageously fun to watch & probably the main reason Deportivo won La Liga. Martin Laursen - sensational defender when he wasn't injured & would have improved any team ever. Christophe Dugarry - unplayable when he could be bothered.

It's a classic movie in Australia & I watched it as my GF is from there. Thought the humour might sail over my head but absolutely not. A truly great, low-key film with a heart & that's really fecking refreshing to see. Also, check out pre-Hollywood Eric Bana in the photo.

Twitter is bad so here's something different. If you want to see a classic film check out '98 Australian movie 'The Castle'. It reminded me of 'The Royle Family' - a funny, heartwarming love letter to working-class culture, rather than the sneering nonsense you sometimes see.

Ah, it's awesome. I lucked out massively & got last min tickets to the game. Best atmosphere I've experienced in forever. Great to know the 'Claret & Blue / David Cameron' derby is back on for next season! If you fancy going to it next season at London Stadium I'd be up for it.

Fascinating results coming from Ireland. Exit poll shows a remarkable green surge. Up from 1.2% to *23%* Sinn Fein could be about to lose all their seats in the Republic. Could be left with a single seat- in Northern Ireland. Oh the irony.
