Do the Democrats really want to plant their flags on 1) pulling down border walls 2) kicking Amazon out of NY 3) 70-90% tax rates 4) banning private health insurance 5) paying people “unwilling to work” 6) & destroying the airline industry?

Why isn’t Trump using the most obvious and effective executive actions for the border? via

Democrats, I think it's a great political strategy to try and chase potential employers away and then brag when thousands of jobs are lost. You should definitely keep that up through the election. The middle class hates gainful employment!

Democrats are slowly, but finally articulating their immigration policy: open, unenforced borders.

My initial assessment is that what Pres. Trump announced is legal. Whether or not it should be legal is a different matter. Congress has been ceding far too much power to the exec. branch for decades. We should use this moment as an opportunity to start taking that power back.

Declarations of a national emergency: Clinton: 17 W: 12 Obama: 13 Trump: 1 We currently have 30 active "national emergencies." I'm against all of them, POTUS shouldn't have that authority, but let's not pretend today is something unique. Be honest, be consistent.

Because we operate this way, the courts feel no blow-back and will continue illegally granting standing to rule on policy.

Putting the politics of Trump and immigration aside, it amazes me how we all blissfully accept the premise that someone can get standing to sue for reprogramming of DOD funding and how courts can just rule on policy issues as councils of revision.

Members of Congress not understanding how tax abatements & credits differ from subsidies is a national emergency.

“Faster” is the definition of emergency. What’s your point?

Remember: 31 national emergencies have been declared by previous presidents that remain active today (most states of emergency must be renewed annually).

The Dems are infamous for dopey talking points. But, the “walls don’t work” line is so stupid that I’m having a hard time believing these fools are willing to humiliate themselves and say it in front of a national TV audience.

That could be. I don’t think it will though depending on who has standing. If it starts in TX, it ends in 5th circuit which is good. But fight still worth having.

I think it could because this statute only could possibly apply within the confines it was passed in. To me it seems to only bar the 1.3 to those rules. Point is it’s in addition to the statute (as bad as it is). It doesn’t seem like it’s in contradiction.
