While blogging is still meaningful to me, I’ve definitely noticed many gravitating toward social media to share their story. Thanks to Sysy at for seeking my input toward this insightful piece.

Heard a lot of disappointing things in Australia about overseas customer support from Medtronic. Glad that they took notice, one can only hope they will take your feedback on board.

I can see your point, and perhaps this thread wasn’t the best place to raise my question.

I can see how it might seem that way when I talk about more bad experiences than good ones. I want to be part of a community where anyone connected to diabetes feels comfortable contributing, rather than staying silent.

Not too sure, to be honest. It could be something to do with heat

Not sure about studies, but are you in the Facebook group for Ambrosia users? Might be some insights there as well...

Food is fuel. It’s something that I’m really trying to practice at the moment. When I don’t eat enough to fuel my daily activity, I feel exhausted and I can’t give the people around me my best.

There are equally plenty of people with diabetes who aren’t online/don’t openly talk about diabetes. (This was certainly the case for me a few years ago...)

I think I partially agree, but I’m also mindful that I wouldn’t have been ready to meet other PWDs so early on in my diagnosis.

Thanks, Kirstie. I think I can definitely be more constructive. (P.S. I’ve just had pizza for dinner, and totally wishing you were here to tell me how to bolus for it...)

Corn on the cob is a tricky one to bolus for. I always end up going low from overestimating!

Getting used to bolusing much, much smaller doses of insulin while I’m on my feet at work (and that donuts are far easier to manage at work!)
