Instead of issuing unilateral decrees, Trump should work with Congress to pass a comprehensive bill that matches the severity of the coronavirus pandemic and economic downturn so we can end this public health crisis and get people back to work.

The Constitution gives the tax and spend authority to Congress. Trump’s executive orders make him the very king and dictator that our Founding Fathers sought to prevent. Our nation has now entered a dangerous period on the way to totalitarianism.

The Trump Administration continues to deny evidence that Russia is once again meddling in our elections in his favor. The American people deserve to know the full extent of this interference. We must make sure voters determine election outcomes - not nefarious foreign actors.

We need a comprehensive national strategy to combat the pandemic. States should not bare this burden alone. The House-passed mandates a national testing and contact tracing plan. It's time for Trump and Senate Republicans to act.

Americans rely on timely mail service for lifesaving medications, social security checks, and tax refunds. These so-called restructuring efforts are more evidence of the Trump Administration’s deliberate sabotage of the post office and its vital services.

This is exactly why yesterday I sent a letter to JCP&L demanding answers about its abysmal response to outages and failure to communicate with customers. These failures have been an ongoing problem and seem to get worse with each passing storm season.

It’s unfortunate that Trump comes to New Jersey to fill his political coffers as Americans struggle to make ends meet and coronavirus cases go up daily. Trump prefers to spread lies about the deadly spread of this virus rather than show true leadership.

Trump has no shame. Tonight, he’s promising an executive order to protect people with pre-existing conditions when that’s already the law. The ACA does just that and he’s been trying to repeal it for years. Shameless!

JCP&L's failure to communicate in real time with meaningful, accurate information has been an ongoing problem & only seems to get worse with each passing storm season. I am concerned the company is failing to meet its obligation to the state of New Jersey.

I sent a letter to JCP&L today demanding answers about its abysmal response to power outages and lack of communication with customers. These failures are simply unacceptable, especially given hot summer temperatures and the fact that many people are working from home.

This is exactly why Republicans should end their stalemate. The House passed the 12 weeks ago today that provides additional relief to small businesses. Republicans need to return to the table to negotiate legislation to help small businesses. Enough is enough.

Congratulations to Edison’s own Deb Sneha, who won the Girl Scout Gold Award! Her food pantry provides residents with essential items during an emergency and will go a long way to help residents when they need it.

The National Guard has been instrumental in the states’ response to the coronavirus pandemic. Trump’s decision to cut federal funding for National Guard deployment for every state except Texas and Florida appears to be a baseless and calculated political decision.

It’s clear the Trump Administration does not take the pandemic seriously enough to show the kind of leadership we need to end it. Trump's threat to act alone through executive actions is not the unified, national response we need to get people back to work safely.

Congress has a duty to provide much-needed economic relief for those struggling to afford the most basic necessities. The House-passed prevents water and power shutoffs across the country and provides critical utility bill assistance for low-income families.

The Trump Administration’s failed response to the pandemic has cost too many American lives. We need the national and comprehensive testing strategy that the House-passed mandated in order to effectively contain the virus and reopen our economy safely.

Trump must take this public health crisis seriously and show real leadership so we can end the pandemic. He should work with Congress to develop a meaningful response to the pandemic rather than issuing executive orders that would minimize help to hardworking Americans.

I want to know if they‘re in compliance with existing statute requiring testing be free of consumer cost-sharing for all patients and how they intend to use their profits to help the American people during this time of crisis.
