Unless he thinks of himself as "America" in that Hamlet sort of way...

I just thought that was a bash thing, like if...fi. It still bothers me that 'for' ends with 'done' and not 'rof'. Considering the ultimate clunkiness I threw together today, your tweet *did* make me feel better. Thank you.

Being bilingual: 1. Helps me connect cultures 2. Makes me a better job candidate 3. Makes learning a 3rd language easier 4. Makes me a target for deportation under the current political climate

Dominican Republic They have reduced 5-alpha-reductase, so from conception to puberty, greatly reduced testosterone. Trivia: figuring that out prompted the creation of finasterine to artificially stop T from converting to dihydrotestosterone.

Its 2018 and I find it horrendous and frankly furious that women need to campaign & lobby about how they are allowed to make choices over their bodies. I stand in solidarity with the women of Ireland in their fight for the right to choose!

No "test" is going to be based on aggregates. "male" brain areas and "female" brain areas are two highly overlapping bell curves. It's only when taken in aggregate over populations that suddenly it's clear that yes, trans people have brains that "match" the aggregate of their ID.

"Non-supportive parents of transgender children however could use brain scan results to put their child into conversion therapy" Rather than trans people denying the importance of 20 years of medical evidence that being trans is a bio-thing...how about we ban conversion therapy?

Yes! At the time I remember it even spurred conversations about replacing gay & straight w/ something like "androphillic" and "gynephillic" to be more accurate, inclusive....and more binary (which sorta negates the accurate part).

Any chance you have the name of the...oh, that's right IT'S NOT A PUBLISHED PAPER. I am really starting to dislike how most people "learn" science from mass media.

There are no longer any major radio or TV stations in the Bay Area that could be considered actually "progressive" / "left of center" / "liberal" (again, using older definitions).

Time to weed out all the professional "self help" and "motivational coach" accounts. When that's done I may split into two accounts, I'm missing too many of the more personal tweets from people I care about. Should have spoons to get it done...in the Fall or early Winter. 🙃

* There was no bisexual - polyam - etc nuance to the original tests. They proved that sexuality is in part based on smell/chemical receptors by using the extreme cases.

News Flash: "Gender Research Experts" Don't Know The Difference Between Gender and Sexuality. One of two newly released studies the media is using right now to get to print the word "transgender". (the test they used was used to prove brains are gay or straight a decade ago*)

If it makes you feel better this month I realized Fiona Apple & Tori Amos are different people. I've been listening to both since the mid 90's. In my defense I'm mostly face blind & can't keep both of their names in my head simultaneously. It's like they have to share one memory.

Just two years ago they were the "corporate" public radio station that was pro-Obama, pro-Dems, pro-LGBT (KPFA, the other "Left" public radio station is mostly anti-LGBT, very anti trans and partnered with...the Catholic Church). Now KQED FM has far more GOP sound bites than not.

Another story today by the same "journalist". Almost feels like an agenda... My entire life KQED has been the Democratic/leftist/progressive (using the older meanings) radio & tv stations in the Bay Area. That's no longer the case.

Remember when PBS was considered on the "left"? Our local affiliate has been moving right ever since the GOP Congress threatened a year to pull all PBS funding if the stations weren't more GOP friendly. tw/cw: transmisia, false "balanced" reporting
