Forest Y7 violinist and pianist Lucien won the top prize in the Strings Grade 6 & 7 class at Blackheath Festival. In competition against both adults and other school aged musicians, Lucien performed the Sarabande and Double from J.S. Bach’s B minor Partita.

Last week Y7 and Y8 STEAM Society went to the Natural History Museum to visit the Venom Exhibition, and of course, eat ice cream. Miss Baber and Ms Golding-Hann came away with lots of ideas for Forest’s bee-keeping initiative, but no plans yet for a snake charming activity.

Last week Y12 pupils Aysha Hafayed, Joe Oulton & Cormac Lawry collected more than 30 enormous bags of 'Socks and Chocs' (warm clothing and snacks) for care packages for Waltham Forest's Feet on the Street charity to be distributed to rough sleepers next winter. Well done team!

Congratulations to swimmers Leo Flood 5B and Cem Foo-Turk 6B who have qualified for the IAPS National Finals at the London Aquatics Centre in June. Remarkable achievement and something no Forest pupil has qualified for before. Good luck on the big day boys!

Forest’s Team Action - Zaynah Islam, Yasmin Herron-Isa, Angharad Stables, Ava Canteenwala and Kaia Michel-gave a five minute presentation to a panel of judges at the semi-finals of the Wings of Hope Achievement Awards at Portcullis House last week. Good luck for the final girls!

Grace Palfreman Y13 Hepworth Head of House spoke to our Lower School pupils about her journey through self-esteem and body confidence issues and how she has overcome them. It was an inspirational speech and the girls all gave feedback on what they had learned

Yesterday Forest Business students were joined by students from Trinity School took part in an interactive competition where teams had to market and grow a technology product balancing profits, customer satisfaction and ethics and Forest pupils Sumayyah Ershad & Lydia Lasfer won!

The results of last month's Biology Challenge are now in. The competition is designed to stimulate students’ curiosity for the natural world and 52 Forest School Y9 and Y10 students took part achieving 6 Gold, 10 Silver and 15 Bronze awards - even better than last year!
