P1 pupils entertained their families and friends with a beautiful version of the Christmas Story. Great enthusiasm and lovely singing got us all in the Christmas mood! Thanks to Ferryhill Church for allowing us to hold this in such lovely surroundings.

This week in nursery we had fun retelling one of our favourite traditional stories on a story map. The children were able to tell me what happened throughout the whole story and used this map to retell it in their own time to their friends. Can you guess the story?

Today in P6M we changed our class into a WW1 day. We dressed up as 1914 children, had WW1 lessons, wrote on slates and listen to a real 1900s gramophone. The boys learned some WW1 construction and made tables and chairs and the girls used wool and knitting hooks.

P1C wrapped up warm and went outside in the snow today. We brought some snow inside and carried out a small Science lesson. The hot water melted the snow quicker than our warm hands.
