The notion of a Final Girl in slasher films seems to give some type of agency to women who are otherwise exploited through nudity or elaborate gore

The Terrible Place would then be the suffocating location of the film and the Final Girl a scream queen who either kills the villain at the end or escapes thanks to her strong will to survive.
