Because smoking is their source of funding. No smoking, no tobacco control group.

I think CRIMINAL would be a fair description here Grotesque elitists masquerading as guardians of public health.

More likely - tobacco control groups and governments rely on cigarette taxes to pay for their existence. Less smokers means less $$ Now with less harmful products becoming more widely used they are losing their honey. Govโ€™t is more addicted to tobacco

Smokers who cannot quit with other methods are told to continue to smoke. I leave everyone to judge and characterize this "recommendation"...

It's a shame. I've been smoking since I was 15. I'm now 54. My doctor is the one who suggested that I use a vape. I've been smoke free for 4 months now. Best decision I've made in my life.

Tobacco Control hate the tobacco cos. & fantasise about their demise, but THR interferes with the โ€œendgameโ€ & gives Big T. a survival outlet & that really grinds their gums! However, they have a COI as the $billions in tax money are clearly needed for their continued existence.

Donโ€™t forget Pharmaโ€™s involvement too. They have huge influence with Govs & PH & provide oodles of funding. They lose $$ on 94% failure rate cessation drugs & treatments for smoking related diseases. They all want back to the status quo, the highly lucrative quit/smoke/quit cycle

I bet no-one has a problem with people chewing nicotine-gum or sticking patches for the rest of their lives....

Actually same workgroup which suggested other "quit and die" actions, also suggested that long term nicotine gum and patch use should be recognized and stopped with regulatory action. These are raving lunatics...

Whilst ignoring the science on and the benefits to public health, WHO is the problem overall where majority of EU states ban - shame on them all.
