More than one year ago I warned on the negative impact a bad foreign policy has on the economy of a country. International bodies have since moved conferences involving Somalia to Addis Ababa. Somali passport holders get Visas on arrival in Addis. Flights Mogadishu- Addis direct.

Hotels in Addis are booming with bookings. Over 150,000 Somali families from the West now own properties in Turkey & are raising families there. The whole family gets residence permits in one week. Real estate prices in Kenya today are in a freefall & the economy is in HDU. SAD!!

Given a brilliant policy on the part of MFA &OOP all diaspora Somalis would have opted to invest in Kenya & build the Kenyan economy. But we exhibited open uncalled for belligerence based on envy. Somalia will be another Eldorado soon. We need to build enough Goodwill to partake.

Somalia, wirh its huge diaapora and barring its incessant internecine warfare, has so much potential to eclipse most east african economies.

Weren't you the roaming between Adis and Mogadishu as Farmajo's henchman pushing for the cooperation between the two nations in change of few dollars? you should be the last person to advice Kenya on these.

Farmajo is in the deep pockets of the Western oil Mafia. He's pushing Somalia to the precipice. Neighboring nations never benefit from conflicts... only vested interests do. Tell them.

Kenya's recent policy towards Somalia is a blessing in disguise..a peaceful Somalia is a potential African super power..huge land, vast resources small but wealthy population..Kenya's sees Somalia's resurgence as a threat to her title as EA's economic power house, and rightly so.

I don't know abt all that. Small economy, small population, medium sized territory, low Human Development Index I'm confident Somalia would be doing great someday. But it's potential to be a superpower is modest. It doesn't have a significant advantage over others on anything

Somalia diaspora should star rebuilding and Investing in Somalia instead Hantidaadu waa lama guuraan hadaad dhisato wadankaaga Hooyo? Kenya’s investment is gamble and you will lose everything that is 110% guarantee. Invest in your own country before it’s too late

Somalis will invest in Somalia when the time is right. For now they would invest hugely in Kenya. But that is not feasible now. For Turkey they pay much less for housing which it's standards are as high as Kenyas karen compared to what they pay in Eastleigh.
