Evening, It shouldn't take that long, on average I'd say 15-30 minutes to activate. Are the MX records for the domain correctly pointing to the Fasthosts Mailserver? ^Craig

Hi there, To do this you would need to back up your website/emails and remove the domain name from the current hosting package, and then re-add the new domain name to the package, and re-upload your website and emails. Contact our support team on support@fasthosts.com for more..
