A very interesting and well organised conference - brilliant - thanks to Paula for a superb job chairing and Paul Scully a male MP interested in women's health - we need more men like him!

CCGs are rationing treatments for fibroids and HMB as well - Bucks CCGs don't allow any access to routine in-patient treatment for fibroids women have to apply for individual funding request, Greenwich CCG restricts access & many more - unacceptable

Even better if women had a less invasive, safer, quicker and less painful diagnosis like ultrasound and MRI and while they are on drugs to relieve symptoms, rather then waiting until after drug treatment to do diagnosis

NICE should not be recommending treatments for HMB which have never been formally reviwed for safety and efficacy - hysterectomy never reviewed 180 deaths p.a. and 2,000 serious complications + early menopause

NICE should not be recommending diagnostics & treatments for HMB which have not been formally reviewed for safety and efficacy - endometrial ablation for fibroids>3cm - never reviewed for safety and efficacy

Only 1 in-patient treament for HMB & fibroids in the new NICE guidelines on HMB has been formally reviewed for safety and efficay & found to be safe - fibroid embolisation carried out by Interventional Radiologists not gynaes

This is welcome only 1 in-patient treatment for fibroids and heavy menstrual bleeding [HMB] in the new NICE HMB Guidelines has a formal review for safety and efficacy & found to be safe - fibroid embolisation done by interventional radiologists not gynaes all others need reviews

Management of endometriosis is included in separate NICE guidelines not this one. Surprising NICE doesn't know this. NICE doesn't know the number of current diagnoses using hysteroscopy >61,000 NHS Stats not the 5,000 mentioned. Far from Clinical Excellence & UNSAFE for women
