Our Plant of The Season is in our Plant Shop now, "Astilbe" - An excellent plant for bog gardens, sides of ponds and streams and in those tricky shady spots.  We have 2 new varieties. Astilbe arendsii “Burgundy Red” with gorgeous deep red plumes of flowers and Astilbe arendsii.

To celebrate the Centenary of Singleton Park in public ownership FCSBC have commissioned a bi-lingual commemorative sign which will be displayed in the Botanical Gardens from August this year featuring the fascinating history of the largest public park in Swansea.

Veranda House : the house you cannot see. The site of Veranda House is well hidden from in Singleton Park being behind trees above the Gorsedd Circle. The almost roofless building near the round water-tower is a remnant of a fine house built around 1800.

Geums are popular hardy perennials that can flower from late spring into summer and often into the autumn. We have 2 gems coming into flower in the shop now. Geum Blazing Sunset, a stunning red variety and Geum Sunrise, a rich yellow, certain to brighten up the dullest of days.

Visit in May. Clyne Gardens on Swansea Bay. Nationally renowned collection of Rhododendrons and Azaleas.    Fine collection of mature trees, heathers and perennials.   This is a fine time to visit. Clyne Chapel open for Refreshments 1-4pm until May 30th
