20mph limits were very effective indeed. Reduces avg speed almost 3mph (every 1mph less is 6 % fewer injued) 4 lives p year saved in Bristol from 20mph

Excessive speeds and close passes by vehicles discourage people from getting on their bikes. Make Exeter 20mph to give more people the freedom to travel by bike. 20 really is plenty.

So the talks with the Tories have collapsed. There is no “alternative deal” acceptable to Labour, is there? There isn’t a general election, is there? That must mean we now back a public vote on , doesn’t it?

Something in my eye again 😭 We run this campaign for people like Maureen living in Exeter. Great cycling infrastructure supports all ages and abilities to travel safely around the city on a variety of bikes. Poor or non-existent routes deny us this freedom. Nice bike Maureen!

Two fantastic local photographers, and Brian Moore, have kindly donated some of their collection to Ride On. We're redesigning our website, so if you have any good snaps of cycling around Exeter which you would be happy to donate, that would be great!

It’s easy to think cities that have embraced cycling and walking just get it and they didn’t have to make any major changes! This isn’t true. Amsterdam is just one example of a city that realised being car-centric wasn’t working for anyone so they changed it. Change is possible.

We've found that 82% of parents have taught their children to ride a bike - with 70% claiming it's a vital life skill. However, the number of journeys made by bike remains at just 2%! is just one way we're helping to improve on that.

“What if we used parking for…anything else?” A fun initiative with a serious point: so much of our city centre space is dominated by cars & car infrastructure. Imagine what else it could be used for!

's bigger, brighter, better bike experience is only a few weeks away. With a top speed of 15mph & costing just £1 per 20 mins they're perfect for popping around the city. So much more fun & better for the than taking the car!

Climate change is destroying our ecosystems and our planet. We must take on the greed of the fossil fuel industry, and transform our energy system away from fossil fuel to energy efficiency and sustainable energy.
