thread re: how NYT has now basically locked out Congressional Dems from commenting on Trump news. Number of Dems quoted: 0.
A tweet “looking forward” to a Labor Department report an hour before its release drew swift condemnation. The report showed strong job growth.

quick note for those who might say, 'well, GOP runs WH/Congress so that's where the focus should be.' when Dems ran WH/Congress for few yrs under Obama, NYT and rest of DC press was OBSESSED w/ GOP Congressional attacks on Dems.

To a small degree, some of the blame falls on Dems for their bland, non-attention grabbing messaging. GOP knows how to work the press.

The point is the media doesn’t want the Dem message out. They’re stifling it.

Most journalists in MSM are not RW. But Dems are often so bland and techno-speak that it isn't picked up as of interest. A few, like are eloquent and dramatic and so they get quoted. GOP understand it's all about the sensational for profit-conflicted media.

Journos who think Dems are "too bland" either need to grow up or embark on a new career writing screenplays. I'm done taking the blame for their incompetence.

Something shouldn’t have to be phrased in an entertaining manner to be considered newsworthy.

In the abstract that should be true. but in the profit-conflicted world of today's media it's not. News is entertainment and that's what sells, public interest be damned. Have to deal with reality or lose.

Then they write or broadcast endlessly about how the Democrats don't have a message. How the hell would they know? They're not listening.
