    web twitter / oEmbed formats changed so a chrome extension to download vids busted, but at least discord shows the first frame of a video with zero hint that it is a video instead of nothing

    if TPC can get away with selling a game that animates creatures in a battle like they're little figures being piloted by children that's good enough for me. no more animation or rigging in my game, everything moves like a board game piece, procedurally.

    For example: I wanna test a build mechanic, or capping a resource. Those things are coupled tightly into the player, developing them and throwing them away muddies the code. Even with playtesting there's a difference between functional design and compelling design.

    When making games it sucks how many ideas you get "stuck with" just because of the cost of re-architecting things. Sometimes you get to a point where you can go in several dramatically different directions with a game and experimentation is costly.

    my wife did an astronomical amount of math to determine the most amount of Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce I can have on my diet in one day, please honor this occasion by watching everybody's cool stuff (the stuff I helped on is on July 4rd 6:55 PST)
