Yeah. There were probably *opportunities* to somehow avoid this disaster.

I dunno. I could see making this mistake. The notation seems obvious. But, again, I just wouldn't center an entire book around a seemingly obvious 19th Century notation is the thing.

It feels like nobody should suffer what happened to Naomi Wolf, in the same way that nobody should be buried alive and eaten by moles. Then again, if you had to pick somebody to be buried alive and eaten by moles, Wolf might well be one of the authors on your list.

Maybe by tomorrow they'll get the headline actually right: "While Teaching, Elizabeth Warren Was Far More Of A Boss Than Previously Disclosed."

So they tried to keep the completely unwarranted whiff of "scandal" over taking on clients as many law professors do. But they backed off of the completely stupid innuendo that $675/hr is a large fee.

The stealth edited the headline: Yesterday: "While teaching, Elizabeth Warren worked on more than 50 legal matters, charging as much as $675 an hour" Today: While teaching, Warren worked on about 60 legal matters, far more than she’d previously disclosed

Thanks . It really feels like the media just can't accept that people like and are not *playing.* They're not approaching these policy issues like it's a damn game.

I was reading about the global climate strike and thought: "The Force is cool and all, but the ability to destroy a planet is no joke." You know? Like, this green laser sword we wave around is neat and all, but the Republicans have a fully armed and operational battle station.

I’d say six. Lead with the diamond. Blame my partner if she didn’t immediately come back to me in diamonds. Get set.

When you have to defend a Republican Judge because a Republican Senator is being even more of an intellectually dishonest ass.

It’s really amazing, Harvard is one of the most selective places in the world and people are pissed off if tormenting black children makes you lose out on the completive selection. As if there’s not enough white people who DON’T use racial epithets to replace the ones who do.

They shouldn’t have to but you aren’t going to do anything about it especially if it costs one precious white boy his spot at Harvard. Your “thoughts and prayers” for those who have to live through racism are super nice.

People are focused on the Calk corruption and it’s a big deal, but don’t overlook this blatant display of tokenism as Paul Manafort tried to get Jeff Sessions a black friend.

This best part? She didn’t even write it. She’s doubling down and doesn’t have the byline.

One would think that if the attempt was to “inform” there would have been a little more context in terms of A. What hi-end lawyers generally charge. B. How common it is for profs to have clients. This wasn’t informative. This was a weaksauce hit aimed at lo-information voters.
