He also incorrectly stated that 50% of UK energy came from renewables last quarter. This is complete nonsense. It was 50% of electricity. So the correct figure is 10%. How can a minister be so wildly inaccurate. Incompetence or deliberate?

FACT V FACTOID. Wind generated up to half our power needs over the last 48 hours V Energy 'expert' on the radio: 'The power cuts COULD have been because of the drop in energy generated by wind' - no mention of the drop in gas capacity which happened at the same time.
